How to Load and Fire in IRON NEST Without Losing the Solution

Loading is the final execution step, not the place to decide what the mission needs. Arrive with a completed firing solution, keep it visible, and make one deliberate pass through shell, charges, bearing, elevation, arming, and trigger.

PRE-FIRE CHECK

Before you start

  • Bring the printed firing solution to the gun deck.
  • Load the shell before the listed powder charges.
  • Set both bearing and elevation from the card.
  • Pause for a four-value check before firing.
01

Load from the solution, not from memory

The indexed loading walkthrough begins after the measuring and calculator stages. Preserve that order.

  1. Confirm the target, shell type, powder charges, bearing, and elevation on the current solution.
  2. Select the shell required by the mission and move it into the loading path.
  3. Operate the rammer to seat the shell.
  4. Dispense the number of powder charges shown by the current solution.
  5. Ram the charges and confirm the loading path is complete before laying the gun.
02

Lay, verify, arm, fire

Fast controls can move the gun broadly; fine controls are for matching the exact solution. The interface itself is the final authority.

  1. Set turret bearing to the printed value.
  2. Set gun elevation to the printed value.
  3. Read back shell, charges, bearing, and elevation in that order.
  4. Arm the relevant gun controls only after the read-back matches.
  5. Pull the main trigger and observe the result before preparing a correction.

Operator noteIf the wrong shell is already loaded, stop and use the current in-game recovery instruction. Community discussions describe version-dependent recovery; this guide does not guess an unload sequence.
